    1. We call them rot-n-labs ( pronounced rotten lab ). They are great dogs. All of ours have had the appearance of very large black labs with the great strength and calm temperament of the rot. Many of the pups from the same parents were accepted into the program and became mobility assistance dogs. They help people like me get up stairs and hills and help us keep our balance.

  6. I have a rottie/cattle dog cross. When she is relaxed and calm, her head is rounded and I call her my Cattweiler. When she is all riled up, her head looks square and I call her my Rottle Dog.

  8. RottenLab or Rot-n-Lab
They have the best of both worlds. They look like very overgrown black labs but have the quiet calm gentle temperament and strength, weight, and discipline of a rott. They are highly intelligent and easily trained. Very loyal and protective while not being aggressive. Ours have all been easily socialized in and of themselves while not having the "intimidating" appearance of a rott. This makes it easier at the dog parks and pet stores as people are not intimidated so their dogs don't sense fear and are also more accepting of the rott-n-labs desire to make friends.
